We Sow The Seed

– God Produces The Harvest

Most of us live fairly unremarkable lives. We are not miracle workers. We are not noted for anything in particular. We're ordinary and commonplace. But we can tell people about Jesus wherever we go. Our duty is to tell people what we have come to know about Jesus and then leave the results with God. If we do so, we will have served one of life's essential purposes. After we are dead and gone, our words may come to someone's mind and bring that person to the Lamb of God. Like seed buried in the ground, God's Word may seem to lie dormant for years and then spring up to eternal life. So let us be faithful and point others to Jesus Christ. Then, after we are gone, the epitaph on our gravestone could read, "He did no miracles, but everything he said about Jesus was true."

Jesus answered, "I have already told you, but you would not believe me. The deeds I do by my Father's authority speak on my behalf; but you will not believe, for you are not my sheep. My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never die. No one can snatch them away from me. What my Father has given me is greater than everything, and no one can snatch them away from the Father's care. The Father and I are one." John 10:25-30

Jesus answered, "It is written in your own Law that God said, 'You are gods.' We know that what the scripture says is true forever; and people to whom his message was given. As for me, the Father chose me and sent me into the world. How then, can you say I blaspheme because I said that I am the Son of God? Do not believe me, then, if I am not doing the things my Father wants me to do. But if I do them, even though you do not believe me, you should at least believe my deeds, in order that you may know once and for all that the Father is in me and that I am in the Father." John 10:34-38
