We Have God

Even If It Does Not Seem So

"Go in peace," Eli said, "and may the God of Israel give you what you have asked him for."

"May you always think kindly of me," she replied. Then she went away, ate some food, and was no longer sad.

The next morning Elhanah and his family got up early, and after worshipping the LORD, they went back home to Ramah. Elhanah had intercourse with his wife Hannah, and the LORD answered her prayer. So it was that she became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel, and explained, "I asked the LORD for him."

1 Samuel 1:17-20

We can learn from Hannah, a godly woman. Human relationships are important, but our critical need is to know that we have the approval of God. She knew her husband loved her, but she needed to know that God loved her. He alone can satisfy our deepest needs.
