They Saw God

Moses, Aaron, Nadab, Abihu and seventy of the leaders of Israel went up the mountain and they saw the God of Israel. Beneath his feet was what looked like a pavement of sapphire, as blue as the sky. God did not harm these leading men of Israel; they saw God, and then they ate and drank together.

Exodus 24:10-11

God can appear in any form He desires, even while He Himself remains invisibly present throughout the universe.

One day in heaven the unseen, infinite God will graciously make Himself visible to us. But even then we will be unable to look upon His full glory. Instead, we will see Jesus and live in His light. But seeing Him will be seeing God, for He is God. What a blessed prospect!

To see God, look to Jesus.
