I thank my God for you every time I think of you; and every time I pray for you all, I pray with joy because of the way in which you have helped me in the work of the gospel from the very first day until now. And so I am sure that God, who began this good work in you will carry it on until it is finished on the Day of Christ Jesus.

Philippians 1:3-6

We come to God bent over and misshapen by the ravages of sin. When we put our faith in Jesus Christ as our Savior, God lovingly begins His work in us. He transforms us from the inside out. He puts us in the care of His family, the church, and they continue His work by adding truth, to what we have trusted in. We receive patient correction and then love.
