The apostles said to the LORD, "Make our faith greater." The Lord answered, "If you had faith as big as a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, 'Pull yourself up by the roots and plant yourself in the sea!' and it would obey you."

Luke 17, 5-6

The first crisis of faith is taking the first step of trusting in our LORD. We are carried a long way from what the world considers "solid ground." Trusting an invisible LORD can be frightening, especially for a new Christian. Jesus has told us it takes only a small amount of obedient trust in Him to put the power of heaven at our disposal.

The key to our journey through life is all built around trust. When we learn what Christ wants from us, we must take the first step of obedience. He will then give us the strength to do what He wants us to do.

Pray to our LORD to increase our faith.

A little faith can dispel big fears.
