"…Be determined and confident. Do not be afraid of them. Your God, the LORD himself will lead you. He will not fail you or abandon you."

Then Moses called Joshua and said to him in the presence of all the people of Israel, "Be determined and confident; you are the one who will lead these people to occupy the land that the LORD promised to their ancestors. The LORD himself will lead you and be with you. He will not fail you or abandon you, so do not lose courage or be afraid."

Deuteronomy 31:6-8

Our LORD has told us that He will not forsake us. We know He is our helper and that we are not to fear anything manmade. The promise of God’s unfailing presence with us is the key to living with confidence and contentment. No matter how many pledges are broken by people, God’s promises will last through all time and eternity. Because He is eternal, He can give us an eternal guarantee.
