It’s All About Attitude

"…You will die on that mountain as your brother Aaron died on Mount Hor, because both of you were unfaithful to me in the presence of the people of Israel. When you were at the waters of Meribah, near the town of Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin, you dishonored me in the presence of the people. You will look at the land from a distance, but you will not enter the land that I am giving the people of Israel."

Deuteronomy 32:50-52

How easily Moses could have slipped into a self-pitying and resentful frame of mind! He had borne the burden of a stubborn and stiff-necked people for 40 years. He had interceded for them time and time again. Yet, at the end of his life he praised the LORD and urged a new generation of Israelites to obey Him.

Every valley must be filled up, every hill and mountain leveled off. The winding roads must be made straight, and the rough paths made smooth. All mankind will see God’s salvation!’"

Moses was paving the way for the Israelites to come into the promised land. John was paving the way for Jesus to come into the promised land, so that we can come into the promised land.
