Complete Freedom

We have, then, my brothers, complete freedom to go into the Most Holy Place by means of the death of Jesus. He opened for us a new way, a living way, through the curtain – that is, through his own body. We have a great priest in charge of the House of God. So let us come near to God with a sincere heart and a sure faith, with hearts that have been purified from a guilty conscience and with bodies washed with clean water.

Hebrews 10:19-22

Jesus again gave a loud cry and breathed his last.

Then the curtain hanging in the Temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split apart, the graves broke open, and many of God’s people who had died were raised to life. They left the graves, and after Jesus rose from death, they went into the Holy City, where many people saw them.

Matthew 27:50-53

You cannot be a good Christian if you are not a part of a local congregation. Our own spiritual welfare is not to be our only concern. We go to church not just to get but to give – and to spur other Christians to love and for good works.

One humble, open, and involved individual can make all the difference in the world. Maybe it is you or I. If we are set on fire for Christ, we can be sparks to help others. The Holy Spirit is the breath of God, and He may blow on that spark to set a congregation on fire.

Fellowship builds us up and binds us together.
