He Has Been Raised

"Don't be alarmed," he said. "I know you are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is not here - he has been raised! Look, here is the place where he was placed. Now go and give this message to his disciples, including Peter: 'He is going to Galilee ahead of you; there you will see him, just as he told you.'"

So they went out and ran from the tomb, distressed and terrified. They said nothing to anyone, because they were afraid.

Mark 16:6-8

He said to them, "Go throughout the whole world and preach the gospel to all mankind. Whoever believes, and is baptized will be saved; whoever does not believe will be condemned. Believers will be given the power to perform miracles: they will drive out demons in my name; they will speak in strange tongues; if they pick up snakes or drink any poison, they will not be harmed; they will place their hands on sick people, and these will get well."

Mark 16:15-18

"So do not start worrying: 'Where will my food come from? Or my drink? Or my clothes? (These are the things the pagans are always concerned about.) Your Father in heaven knows that you need all these things. Instead, be concerned above everything else with the Kingdom of God and with what he requires of you, and he will provide you with all these other things. So do not worry about tomorrow; it will have enough worries of its own. There is no need to add to the troubles each day brings.

Matthew 6:31-34

Christ's empty tomb fills us with hope. We know we are saved. We know where we will go when we die. But the real question is what we do with this information once we get it and believe it. Act on it. Witness for Christ, and remember God will gives grace just when we need it, always.
