Christian Discipline

Children, it is your Christian duty to obey your parents, for this is the right thing to do. "Respect your father and mother" is the first commandment that has a promise added: "so that all may go well with you, and you may live a long time in the land."

Parents, do not treat your children in such a way as to make them angry. Instead, raise them with Christian discipline and instruction.

Ephesians 6:1-4

Become involved with your child. Find an activity and make time for it with your children. Help your children to develop hobbies, but don’t force them. As they get older become less a disciplinarian and more of a mentor. Talk with them and keep communicating by being a good listener. Love your child’s mother with all your heart. Remember, a child is never too old to be told they are loved by you.

A child is likely to see God

as a good Father if he sees God in his Father.
