Jesus taught us to pray. He taught us first to address God as "Our Father." Then Jesus told us to worship Him as King and to talk to Him about His kingdom. Then we are to speak to the Father about our place in His family – our need for provision, pardon, and protection. If you need help in your prayer-life, follow the example Jesus gave His disciples. Jesus said to them, "When you pray, say this: ‘Father: May your holy name be honored; may your Kingdom come. Give us day by day the food we need. Forgive us our sins, for we forgive everyone who does us wrong. And do not bring us to hard testing.’" Luke 11:2-4
