Chasing The Blues Away

Do you ever get the blues? You know the times when the press of day-to-day life gets you down. Too much to do, too little time. The end result, you are zapped - no strength, no joy, and no hope. Try some of these blues chasers:

Things seem impossible, but nothing is impossible - Luke 18:27 - "Now, as for these enemies of mine who did not want me to be their king, bring them here and kill them in my presence!"

Life is exhausting, but Jesus offers rest for your soul - Matthew 11:28-30 - "Come to me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke and put it on you, learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in spirit; and you will find rest. For the yoke I will give you is easy, and the load I will put on you is light."

You can't forgive yourself, but the LORD forgives all who confess their sins to Him - 1 John 1:9 - "But if we confess our sins to God, he will keep his promise and do what is right: he will forgive us our sins and purify us from all our wrongdoing."

You are worried and anxious, but you should cast all your cares on God, for He cares for you - 1 Peter 5:7 - "Leave all your worries with him, because he cares for you."

You feel alone in this world, but the LORD promises never to leave nor forsake you - Hebrews 13:5 - "Keep your lives free from the love of money, and be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, 'I will never leave you; I will never abandon you.'"
