We live in an age of rage.

But we can help solve the problem

– one person at a time.

When we are on the receiving end

of someone’s wrath,

we can return a soft answer.

A calm, reasoned approach

can stop anger in its tracks.

Christ stayed calm

in the face of hateful accusations at His trial.

We should follow His example

by staying calm in an age of rage.

He who conquers his anger

conquers a strong enemy.

A gentle answer quiets anger,

but a harsh one stirs it up.

When wise people speak,

they make knowledge attractive,

but stupid people spout nonsense.
