The Heavens Are The Work Of Your Hands

In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.

They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. Like clothing you will change them and they will be discarded.

But you remain the same, and your years will never end.

The children of your servants will live in your presence; their descendants will be established before you.”

Psalm 102:25-28

As we reflect on our lives, so many things change. Nothing ever stays forever.

There are career changes, health changes, financial changes, and changes in our relationships with our spouses and our children. Good or bad, a life-altering experience may be lurking just around the corner in our lives. There is a comfort in knowing that our loving heavenly Father does not change.

In the New Testament, James writes, “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” In our changing circumstances, we can be assured that our good God will always be consistent to His character. He is the source of everything good, and everything He does is good.

It may seem that nothing lasts forever, but our God will remain consistently good to those who are His own.

The One who holds the universe together will not let go of you.
