The
Lord Reigns
The Lord reigns, he is robed in majesty; the Lord is
robed in majesty and armed with strength;
indeed, the world is established, firm and secure.
Your throne was established long ago; you are from all
eternity.
The seas have lifted up, Lord, the seas have lifted up
their voice; the seas have lifted up their pounding waves.
Mightier than the thunder of the great waters,
mightier than the breakers of the sea—the Lord on high is mighty.
Your statutes, Lord, stand firm; holiness adorns your
house for endless days.
Psalm
93: 1-5
The roar of the waterfall is truly majestic, but it is
quite a different matter to be in the water hurtling toward the falls. That may
be the situation you are in today. Physical, financial, or relational problems
loom even larger and you feel like you are about to go over the falls. In such
situations, the Christian has Someone to turn to. He
is the Lord, “who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine.”
He is greater than all our troubles.
Never
measure God’s unlimited power by your limited expectations.
