Me, God, And Know My Heart
How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is
the sum of them!
Were
I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand—when I awake, I am
still with you.
If only you, God, would slay the wicked! Away from me,
you who are bloodthirsty!
They speak of you with evil intent; your adversaries
misuse your name.
Do I not hate those who hate you, Lord, and abhor
those who are in rebellion against you?
I have nothing but hatred for them; I count them my
enemies.
Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my
anxious thoughts.
See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me
in the way everlasting.
Psalm
139:17-24
If you just ask, God will show you His agendas for
you. He will show you how to deal with fears, pride, and selfishness. He will
use our broken places to show us His love and forgiveness.
We have been told, “The best day is the day you see
yourself as He sees you – complete in Him.”
As we see who God created us to be, we can turn and
run weeping into His arms. When we cry out to the Lord, we are asking God to
search us, and He will know our hearts.
This is my prayer for you – that as you see yourself
in the midst of your own circumstances, you will turn and run into the open,
loving, and forgiving arms of God.
When
worry walks in, strength runs out. But strength returns when we run to God.
