Faith By Itself, If It Is Not Accompanied

By Action, Is Dead

What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

James 2:14-17

People who have had nothing their entire lives, are willing to share everything they have.

The next we meet someone in physical, emotional, or spiritual need…give! As followers of Jesus, our faith in Him should be mirrored. As followers of Jesus, our faith in Him should be mirrored through our actions.

We encounter people in need every day. Some around the globe, some simply around the corner. Some in need of a warm meal, others a kind word. What a difference followers of Christ, who have experienced His love, could make by doing good and sharing.

To Be doing good is a man’s most glorious task.
