God
Will Make Clear To You
Not
that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but
I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers
and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one
thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I
press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me
heavenward in Christ Jesus.
All
of us, then, who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some
point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you. Only let us
live up to what we have already attained.
Philippians 3:12-16
How
do you deal with people who you have sinned against, and they do not forgive
you of your sins? Sometimes their pain is just too strong. And at some point
you may be paralyzed by a longing to receive forgiveness.
Just
remember God will do for you, what you don’t deserve and He will do it in a way
others simply cannot do. God’s promise is real. He sent His Son to die for us.
If we are in Jesus, God will not remember our sins.
In
the face of such great love, we honor Him by accepting His forgiveness as
sufficient. We must forget what lies behind and keep pressing forward.
The work of Christ is sufficient for every sin.
