Speaks
The Truth From Their Heart
Lord,
who may dwell in your sacred tent? Who
may live on your holy mountain?
The
one whose walk is blameless, who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth
from their heart;
whose
tongue utters no slander, who does no wrong to a neighbor, and casts no slur on
others;
who despises a vile
person but honors those who fear the Lord; who keeps an oath even when it
hurts, and does not change their mind;
who lends money to
the poor without interest; who does not accept a bribe against the innocent.
Whoever
does these things will never be shaken.
Psalm 15:1-5
Are
you an honest man? Am I?
Honest
people are hard to find at any age, but the trait is one that greatly matters.
Honesty is not only the best policy, it is the only
policy, and one of the marks of a man or woman who lives in God’s presence.
Do
you speak the truth in love or do you fudge the facts and fade the facts now
and then, or exaggerate for emphasis?
The
One who has begun a good work in me is faithful. He will do it.
Live in such a way that when people think of honesty
and integrity, they will think of you.
