Pray
That I May Proclaim It Clearly
Devote yourselves to
prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a
door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which
I am in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. Be wise in
the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your
conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know
how to answer everyone.
Colossians
4:2-6
We should proclaim the
importance of Jesus Christ in our lives. How can we interest others in our own
story of Christ? Make it attractive to them. Show them the difference it has
made in our own lives. We are told to, “be wise” in how we act towards others.
Take that to heart.
If we show kindness,
love, and compassion to others, those who observe us will wonder why, and that
may give us an opening to tell them about the beauty of God’s love for them.
The
beauty of a changed life can attract others to the One who makes us beautiful.
