Praise
Him For His Surpassing Greatness
Praise
the Lord.
Praise
God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens.
Praise
him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness.
Praise
him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, praise
him with timbrel and dancing, praise him with the
strings and pipe, praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with
resounding cymbals.
Let
everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise
the Lord.
Psalm 150:1-6
The
pages of the Bible resonate with music. The Psalms, often called “the Bible’s
songbook,” point us to the love and faithfulness of God. They conclude with an
unending call to worship, “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.”
Today
we need God’s ministry of music in our hearts as much as any time in history.
Whatever each day brings, may the evening find us singing, “To You, O my
Strength, I will sing praises; for God is my defense, my God of mercy.”
Praise to God comes naturally when you count your
blessings.
