I
Acknowledged My Sin To You
Blessed
is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed
is the one
whose
sin the Lord does not count against them and in whose spirit is no deceit.
When
I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day
and night
your
hand was heavy on me; my strength was sapped as in the heat of summer.
Then
I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, “I will
confess my transgressions to the
Lord.” And you forgave the guilt of my sin.
Therefore
let all the faithful pray to you while you may be found; surely the rising of
the mighty waters will not reach them.
Psalm 32:1-6
“Come
to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my
yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you
will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Matthew 11:28-30
Sometimes
the burdens in our lives involve a heaviness in
spirit.
The
burden that weighs us down may be one of guilt such as the one that consumed
David’s thoughts. Jesus has invited us to bring them all to Him.
We
are not built to bear burdens alone. When we cast them on the One who wants to
bear our burdens, He replaces them with forgiveness, healing, and restoration.
Burden God with what burdens you.
