The LORD Watches

Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers.

Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.

Psalm 1:1-6

We need to seek out the best when it comes to our religious training and the training up of our children.

We need to expose our children to the right philosophies. Do not let your decisions be made by others who may be ungodly. Do not put yourself in a place where those who do not know Jesus might unduly influence your thought process. Avoid getting comfortable with those who mock God, His Word, and His role in our life. Do not let the thinking of others undermine your own beliefs.

It is best to get our training, our guidance, and our advice from God’s holy Word and from those who know the Word and love it. God and His Word, not experiences, are our best teacher.

Let God’s Word fill your memory, rule your heart, and guide your life.
