In One Body

For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility,  by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility. He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.

Ephesians 2:14-18

There is a wall between humanity and God. There is only one way to tear down that wall between God and us. The barrier was built in the Garden of Eden. It was an impenetrable wall.

Jesus’ death and resurrection was made reconciliation with God possible. All those who accept Christ’s sacrifice for sin will have the barrier of sin torn down and be reconciled to God. Christ’s death has also demolished other restrictive walls – between the Jews and Gentiles, slave and free, male and female.

Don’t let your own “wall” of indecision prevent you from accepting God’s gift of salvation.

The Bible is a record of man’s complete ruin

in sin and God’s complete remedy in Christ.
