Calmed And Quieted

My heart is not proud, Lord, my eyes are not haughty; I do not concern myself with great matters or things too wonderful for me. But I have calmed and quieted myself, I am like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child I am content.

Israel, put your hope in the Lord both now and forevermore.

Psalm 131:1-3

Living life takes a lot of time. Sometimes we need a break from it all. We just need a place to be quiet and be with our Lord. Find that time, make that time, and cherish it.

God rested on the seventh day, and we are told to do the same. Calm and quiet your soul. Find a place to be alone. Turn off the distractions that keep you from listening to God’s voice, and let Him speak to you as you read His Word. Let Him refresh your heart and mind with the strength to live life well for His glory.

Stop and take a break from the busyness of life

so that you can refuel your soul.
