The Book Of Life

Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.

Revelation 20:11-15

A book has been written about many of us. In it, our birth date is entered and the date we entered eternity is also in it. Will your name show up in that book of life? If your name is there, you and I will see each other again.

How can we convince those who have been deceived that what they believe in this world is important in the next world? Maybe by telling them the realities of how the Bible describes the other side. Do you want shame and contempt, torments, and a weeping and knashing of teeth?

Remember, God does not send us to hell, we send ourselves to hell, or heaven.

The same Christ who talks about the glories of heaven

also describes the horrors of hell.
