Teach Them To Your Children

Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates, so that your days and the days of your children may be many in the land the LORD swore to give your ancestors, as many as the days that the heavens are above the earth.

Deuteronomy 11:18-21

It’s important for parents to set a good example, because their children are watching them.

Pray for and with your children, so they will learn how to talk with God.

Read and teach with your children, and teach them the Bible, so they will learn God’s truth.

Tell them about Jesus and lead them to faith in Him.

The best way to set a good example for our children is to live out our faith in front of them. While they are looking, they are learning what matters the most.

Children may not inherit their parents’ talent, but they will absorb their values.
