She Began To Wet His Feet

 With Her Tears

The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and you say, ‘Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’ But wisdom is proved right by all her children.”

When one of the Pharisees invited Jesus to have dinner with him, he went to the Pharisee’s house and reclined at the table. A woman in that town who lived a sinful life learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee’s house, so she came there with an alabaster jar of perfume. As she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them.

Luke 7:34-48

When you fish, do you fish where there are fish, or where there are no fish? Put it another way, do you only fish with your Christian friends. If you are doing that you are wasting your time, talent and treasure because they are already Christians. Find a new place to fish. Find another religion to fish in, or find someone who has no faith at all.

It does not seem natural to “fish” with those you have no contact with, but God will provide you with what you need to do that.

Find the feet that need washing, and wash them with your own tears.

We are to be channels of God’s truth – not reservoirs.
