My Help Comes From The Lord

I lift up my eyes to the mountains —  where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.

The LORD watches over you— the LORD is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.

The LORD will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

Psalm 121:1-8

There is no better feeling than going to bed in a warm bed in the winter and a cool bed in the summer and sleep peacefully knowing that God is watching over us, and He is in control. He controls our every breath.

But there are times when things wake us up and we sweat. It could be over a sickly child, a teenager out too late, a financial or work situation, or elderly parents. Do not fear life, and do not dread the future.

We can sleep in peace when we remember that God is awake
