“My Eyes Have Seen You”

Then Job replied to the LORD:

“I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted. You asked, ‘Who is this that obscures my plans without knowledge?’ Surely I spoke of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know.

“You said, ‘Listen now, and I will speak; I will question you, and you shall answer me.’  My ears had heard of you but now my eyes have seen you. Therefore I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes.”

Job 42:1-6

We have so many “why” questions of God. Maybe we should just be thankful and ask ourselves, “why not?” We are special to God, but He allows us to be tested. We spend a lot of time with those questions when really all we have to do is trust Him. Trust Him with our lives. After all, He gave us our life.

God broke His silence with Job and gave Job a vision of Himself in the wonder of creation. Job finally found peace in knowing that our God has good and even wonderful reasons to trust Him.

What’s better than answers to our why questions?

Trusting a good God who has His reasons.
