I Trust In Your Unfailing Love
How
long, LORD? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from
me? How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and day after day have sorrow in
my heart? How long will my enemy triumph over me?
Look
on me and answer, LORD my God. Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death,
and my enemy will say, “I have overcome him,” and my foes will rejoice when I
fall.
But
I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will
sing the LORD’s praise, for he has been good to me.
Psalm 13:1-6
What
happens when our children go in a different path than we wanted them to go?
What happens when our own lives go in a different direction? What happens when
health or finances or family get in our way? God has a better plan, and He will
let you in on it, when you need to know about it.
Sometimes
it is hard to see how God is working in our lives. His mysteries don’t always
reveal their secrets to us, and our journey is often redirected by
uncontrollable detours. God is showing us a better route.
Think
about going on a vacation and you discover something is about to go wrong with
your car, but it gets fixed just in time. Bad that it
happened, good that it happened when it did.
To
make sure we benefit from what might seem bad, we must understand the love God
has for us.
We may not be able to control events,
but
we can control our attitude toward them.
