Good Deeds

Therefore I want the men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or disputing. I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, adorning themselves, not with elaborate hairstyles or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God.

1 Timothy 2:8-10

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Romans 12:1-2

Some people talk about “new school vs. old school.” A better way to reflect on the Bible is to note it is “timeless.” The ten commandments apply now just as much as they did when Moses came down from the mountain.

The principles of the Bible have not changed, and God has not changed.

Belief in Jesus Christ may very well cause you NOT to be conformed to the rules of today, but one thing is for certain, you WILL be transformed.

We should be judged by our deeds, not by how we dress.

Do my choices bring glory to God or draw attention to me?
