Continue In What You Have Learned

…while evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.  But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

2 Timothy 3:13-17

The Bible can be like a wonderful soup with different tastes, textures, and aromas. There are parts of the Bible that only Bible scholars delve into, and other parts – made simple for us as children of God.

There are varieties of messages in the same verses, which mean something to people at different times of their lives. In those different messages, a lamb might wade in water, and elephant might swim, children might be fed with milk and adults might be nourished with meat.

The Bible can stir all of us to action, no matter what our age or intellectual level. There are ocean depths that can stir the most sophisticated mind, and shallow areas that can be negotiated by any simple, honest soul.

God speaks through His Word – take the time to listen.
