“I Have Chosen”

Then the LORD said to Moses, “See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills— to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of crafts.

Exodus 31:1-5

When a piano is crafted by the Steinway company, it can take a year to create perfection. When God creates us, it takes our whole lives.

When the tabernacle was built, we see that God also valued the craftman’s touch.

Today God dwells in the hearts of believers. Yet the call to craftsmanship has not ended. The Master Craftsman is the Holy Spirit working in us. The Holy Spirit chips away at our imperfections and flaws in our character to make each of us like Jesus Christ. And as we yield to His workmanship, we will find that the secret to the final product is the Craftman’s touch.

The Father gave us the Spirit to make us like His Son.
