Unplugged My Ears
The Lord and King has taught me what to
say. He has taught me how to help those who are tired. He wakes me up every
morning. He makes me want to listen like a good student.
The Lord and King has unplugged my ears. I've always
obeyed him. I haven't turned away from him.
Isaiah 50:4-5
We find ourselves in conversation at times with heartbroken
friends and may feel at an utter loss to know what to say.
Telling people what human teachers have taught us may have some
impact on them. But the most helpful of persuasive words are spoken by those
who are taught by the Lord Himself.
It is through our thoughtful and prayerful Bible study, reading,
and quiet meditation that God speaks to our hearts.
Listen to God’s heart, then speak from your heart to others.
