“Think Clearly”

Jesus continued, "There was a man who had two sons. The younger son spoke to his father. He said, 'Father, give me my share of the family property.' So the father divided his property between his two sons.

"Not long after that, the younger son packed up all he had. Then he left for a country far away. There he wasted his money on wild living. He spent everything he had.

"Then the whole country ran low on food. So the son didn't have what he needed. He went to work for someone who lived in that country, who sent him to the fields to feed the pigs. The son wanted to fill his stomach with the food the pigs were eating. But no one gave him anything.

"Then he began to think clearly again. He said, 'How many of my father's hired workers have more than enough food! But here I am dying from hunger!

Luke 15:11-24

Do you have a prodigal son, or have you been one? There was a deep need of the prodigal son to repent, and he did.

And on the other side, where there is a prodigal son, there is a forgiving father. In our case, our forgiving Father is the Lord of the universe.

We have all run away from our heavenly Father. But He welcomes us when we come to Him. You too will see the beauty of forgiveness in your heavenly Father’s face when you cry out to Him. If you are away from Him, head home now and experience His love.

When God forgives, He removes the sin and restores the soul.
