“If It Pleases The Lord”

Now listen, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city. We will spend a year there. We will buy and sell and make money." You don't even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? It is a mist that appears for a little while. Then it disappears. Instead, you should say, "If it pleases the Lord, we will live and do this or that."

As it is, you are proud. You brag about it. That kind of bragging is evil. So when you know the good things you should do and don't do them, you sin.

James 4:13-17

When someone is in the armed forces they say they will see you on the other side, meaning they will see you after their current tour of duty is over. But in some cases, seeing someone on the other side means seeing them in heaven.

We do not know what one year, one month, one day, one hour, or one second might bring. God will bring us home to Him when He decides to.

No part of life is outside the control of God. So when we make plans, we need to remember that we can plan, based on God’s timeframe, not ours.

Write your plans in pencil and let God have the eraser.
