Everyone Was Filled With Awe

Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.

They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

Acts 2:41-47

How about you? On Sunday morning, when you go to church, are you filled with awe? Do you look forward to joining with fellow believers and are you excited to be there? Sundays should not just be another day of the week. They are the beginning of the week, a time to plan your life around God.

Go to church with the anticipation of meeting with God. Go to learn about God. Go to fellowship with others.

Pray for enthusiasm of heart for attending church, so it won’t just be another day.

If you want to be spiritually fed, go to church with a hunger for the Word.
