Your Eyes Saw My Body
Even Before It Was Formed
You created the deepest parts of my being. You put me together
inside my mother's body.
How you made me is amazing and wonderful. I praise you for that. What you have
done is wonderful. I know that very well.
None of my bones was hidden from you when you made me inside my mother's body.
That place was as dark as the deepest parts of the earth. When you were putting
me together there, your eyes saw my body even before it was formed. You planned
how many days I would live. You wrote down the number of them in your book
before I had lived through even one of them.
Psalm 139:13-16
God designed the person David was to become. David used the
metaphor of God writing down His plans for David in a journal.
Put another way, David was shaped by his heavenly Father’s love
into a unique creation. He came from the inventive heart and hand of God. What
was true of David is true of you. You are special – along with everyone else in
the world.
All life is created by God and bears His
autograph.
