The
Teaching Of Kindness
She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the
teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her
household, and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and
call her happy; her husband too, and he praises her; “Many women have done
excellently, but your surpass them all.” Charm is deceitful, and beauty is
vain, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. Give her a share in the
fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her in the city gates.
Proverbs 31:26-31
A good mother loves her family and provides an
atmosphere where each member can find acceptance, security, and understanding.
She is there when the children need a listening ear, a comforting word, a warm hug, or a loving touch on a fevered brow. And for the
Christian mother, her greatest joy is in teaching her children to trust and to
love Jesus as their Savior.
That kind of mother deserves to be honored –
not just on one special day a year but every day. And that
recognition should involve more than words; it ought to be shown in respect,
thoughtfulness, and loving deeds.
Godly mothers not only
bring you up, they bring you to God.
