Sow To The
Spirit
Those who are taught the word must share in all good things with
their teacher.
Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for you reap whatever you
sow. If you sow to your own flesh, you will reap
corruption from the flesh; but if you sow to the Spirit, you will reap eternal
life from the Spirit. So let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we
will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up. So then, whenever we have an
opportunity, let us work for the good of all, and especially for those of the
family of faith.
Galatians 6:6-10
Somewhere in the world right now a farmer is dropping seeds into
the ground. Soon those seeds will begin to change the place where they were
planted. The carefully prepared soil that appears barren today will become a
field ready for harvest.
In the same way, New Year’s resolutions can be seeds to alter the
landscape of life for others and ourselves. We should become instruments of
peace for God.
A farmer who sows wheat is never surprised when wheat grows from
the ground where it was planted. That is the universal law of sowing and
reaping. Such is also the case with the Word of God. You should not be
surprised when things you have sowed come to fruition with God’s watering and
nurturing. We can plant the seeds of faith in our children. Know that God, works
through Jesus, and the Spirit in each of us. We can grow into powerful
witnesses for Christ.
Today is planting time. God has promised we shall reap if we do not
lose heart.
One seed at a time, one person at a time,
one saint at a time.
Sow today what you want to reap tomorrow.
