Ask In Faith,

Never Doubting

James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes in the Dispersion: Greetings.

My brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of any kind, consider it nothing but joy, because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance; and let endurance have its full effect, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking in nothing.

If any of you is lacking in wisdom, ask God, who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly, and it will be given you. But ask in faith, never doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind; for the doubter, being double-minded and unstable in every way, must not expect to receive anything from the Lord.

James 1:1-8

There is a protocol for entering the presence of God. If you come before God, you absolutely must believe He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. God wants us to be fully devoted to Him. If your heart is filled with criticism, unbelief and doubt, do not ask for anything.

James tells us that when we ask God for wisdom, the key to His response is whether or not we are asking “in faith.” God is pleased when we approach Him with unwavering faith.

So leave your doubt at the door and follow the protocol: Approach God with a heart of faith, and He will be pleased to provide all the wisdom you need. Ask for the faith of a small child.

Exchange the dissatisfaction of doubt

for the fulfillment of faith in God.
