Walk In
Integrity
It is honorable to refrain from strife, but
every fool is quick to quarrel. The lazy person does not plow in season;
harvest comes, and there is nothing to be found. The purposes in the human mind
are like deep water, but the intelligent will draw them out. Many proclaim
themselves loyal, but who can find one worthy of trust? The righteous walk in
integrity – happy are the children who follow them!
Proverbs 20:3-7
As a Father, where were you when your children
were growing up? Were you there for their concerts, cheerleading them along,
telling them how much you loved them? Or do you just wish you had done those
things.
It is never too late to put the past behind you
and move into the future with your children. No matter what age, they are your
children – for life, and they can use your wise counsel.
Just make sure you have wise counsel to impart
to them. You will only get that from God.
We will all disappoint our Father in heaven.
But He is always merciful, gracious and slow to anger. He will always have
mercy on us. When a dad who loves the Lord corrects, comforts, instructs and
provides for the needs of his children, he models for them our perfect Father
in heaven.
A life for Christ
is the best inheritance
we can leave our children.
