Treasure
Up My Commandments
Within You
My child, if you accept my words and treasure
up my commandments within you, making your ear attentive to wisdom and
inclining your heart to understanding; if you indeed cry out for insight, and
raise your voice for understanding; if you seek it like silver, and search for
it as for hidden treasures – then you will understand the fear of the LORD and
find the knowledge of God. For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come
knowledge and understanding; he stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a
shield to those who walk blamelessly, guarding the paths of justice and
preserving the way of his faithful ones. Then you will understand righteousness and justice and equity, every good path;

If you can get your thoughts straight on your
own finances, it will help straighten out other areas in your life, and that is
what God really wants. Make sure you do your own checkup to make sure you are
following the priorities set by God. Do not let money control you. Let God do
that.
When you are faced with a decision with
financial implications, do your research. Then ask God for wisdom with prayer,
and keep praying. Trust God and make the decision. Use the knowledge and wisdom
you have gained, and commit your decision to Him.
Obedience to God nurtures a growing love and
trust relationship with Him. What is most important is to see each decision as
an opportunity to draw closer to Him.
The closer we walk with
God,
the clearer we see
His guidance.
