A New Heaven And A New Earth

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “See, the home of God is among mortals. He will dwell with them; they will be his peoples, and God himself will be with them; he will wipe every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; mourning and crying and pain will be no more, for the first things have passed away.”

Revelation 21:1-4

God is the LORD over time itself. Think about that. He created everything we know. He was here before the beginning. Our human minds cannot comprehend that, but it is true. In fact, that simple truth should set our minds at ease. There are just things we cannot understand, but we accept. We know that our lives have a beginning and an end, but not to God. God will replace our world with a new one. In that new heaven and new earth we will experience blessed fellowship with our Creator for eternity. Even now, Jesus is preparing a place for those who love Him.

Jesus is preparing a place for us and preparing us for that place.
