Your Hand Upon Me

O LORD, you have searched me and known me. You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from far away. You search out my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. Even before a word is on my tongue, O LORD, you know it completely. You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is so high that I cannot attain it.

Psalm 139:1-6

Life is not easy, and neither are the solutions. We face events and circumstances that baffle us. We struggle to figure life out, but we always seem to come up short. In these times, it is comforting to know that we have a God who does not need to assess the situation – He already knows everything that was, is, and will be.

Despite our finiteness, our lives rest in the hands of the One who knows all the whats, whys, and whens we will ever face. He will guide us in the path He desires us to take – and His way is never wrong.

In a world of mystery, it is a comfort to know the God who knows all things.
