God Is My Witness

I thank my God every time I remember you, constantly praying with joy in every one of my prayers for all of you, because  of your sharing in the gospel from the first day until now. I am confident of this, that the one who began a good work among you will bring it to completion by the day of Jesus Christ. It is right for me to think this way about all of you, because you hold me in your heart, for all of you share in God’s grace with me, both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel. For God is my witness, how I long for all of you with the compassion of Christ Jesus. And this is my prayer, that your love may overflow more and more with knowledge and full insight to help you to determine what is best, so that in the day of Christ you may be pure and blameless, having produced the harvest of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ for the glory and praise of God.

Philippians 1:3-11

Many of us skipped stones across a smooth lake, when we were children. Inevitably, ripples would flow from the impact of the stone. It is like that with choices. Every choice we make causes a ripple effect on our lives as well as on the lives of others. The choices we have made throughout life determine where we are and what we are becoming.

Paul urged all of us to make “excellent” choices. He wanted us to make those choices about Jesus Christ from a heart that was fully committed to Jesus Christ. He stated when our love abounds in knowledge and discernment, we are able to understand what is best.

Excellent choices are the proof of a life that is deeply committed to Jesus and His ways, and they have the ripple effect of filling our lives with the right choices that will glorify God and our Savior Jesus Christ.

Our lives are not made by the dreams we make but by the choices we make. Make sure those choices are the correct ones.

Make an excellent choice and watch the ripple effect of blessing.
