You Reap

Whatever You Sow

Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for you reap whatever you sow. If you sow to your own flesh, you will reap corruption from the flesh; but if you sow to the Spirit, you will reap eternal life from the Spirit. So let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up.

Galatians 6:7-9

There are some mistakes we made as children that haunt us today. A girl who left the house without her mother’s permission was run over and killed by a train. A boy who should have been studying, but played football, broke a tooth and created a lifetime of dental problems. Too much partying in college led one into the Army, and he came home minus a hand. There is not a day that goes by that we might be led down the wrong path, a path we will pay dearly for.

We do reap what we sow.

The choices we make today produce the consequences we reap tomorrow. It is far better to avoid sin in the first place than to struggle to overcome its consequences.

God can grant us wisdom to help us make the right choices, and forgiveness when we make bad choices.

One good reason for doing the right thing today is tomorrow.
