“There Will Be One Flock,
One Shepherd…”
“…I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, just

also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one
shepherd. For this reason, the Father loves me, because I lay down my life in
order to take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own
accord. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it up again. I

John 10:14-30
We humans are almost as easily distracted as sheep. We are
susceptible to group influence, and that means we would rather follow the crowd
than the wisdom of the Shepherd. Who are we following? One
another? Or the voice and direction of the Good
Shepherd? We have to ask ourselves daily whether or not we are following
the voice of the Good Shepherd. Follow Christ, not the crowd.
