Feed Me

 With The Food

 I Need

Two things I ask of you; do not deny them to me before I die: Remove from me falsehood and lying; give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with the food that I need, or I shall be full, and deny you, and say, “Who is the LORD?” or I shall be poor, and steal, and profane the name of my God.

Proverbs 30:7-9

Some people focus on the five C’s: Cash, Careers, Cars, Condominiums, and Credit. There might also be another five some look to: Connectivity, Choices, Cheek (doing things your way), Causes, and Consumers (people who spend first and pay later). Instead of any of these choices Agur, the writer of Proverbs 30, asked for two things from God: His grace and His goodness. He sought the Grace of God to remove lies from his life, and he sought Goodness from God with God providing what the man needed, no more and no less. That way he would not become too rich and deny God and he would not be so poor that he had to resort to stealing.

Which do you desire more? The temporary satisfaction of the five C’s or the rewards of God’s grace and goodness.

God’s grace is infinite love

 expressing itself through infinite goodness.
